Yeah, I spent your money but…

Previous --- Stories and rhetoric listing --- Next

Life is not easy.  Whoever tells you otherwise is lying.  We’ve got to work real hard.  Determined and looking at the bigger picture…

The rest-of-us-mortals go out and earn a living.  We go out and look at the brighter side of life.  SPVs don’t… they live to make our lives a living hell… they are pessimistic and dark spirited… manipulative and deceitful.

Sometimes they drag us into their cons and lies.  When you least expect it, you are so deep in trouble that you can barely find your way out.

This is the case of such SPV… whom I’ll call: Politically Correct SPV.

He’s the kind of person that could have had the brightest of futures, if he had intended to.  My Politically Correct SPV could’ve been President if he had had his mind set to it… he could’ve been so freaking rich… being so incredibly ingenious and with such an enthusiastic personality… so full of life, so smart, and intuitive… with a great look and so eloquent… yes… he is all that, I mean it!

I love it when I stumble upon him at some gathering.  He’s one of those people you gladly chat with and have a great time… but in a group… that’s where he doesn’t stand out as an SPV… but in a Tête-à-tête… you and him alone… well, then his depression, darkness of soul, and need for control flourish.

Perception is one of the most important issues in Politically Correct SPV’s life but… I repeat, when in a group, among his ‘herd’ of followers, he’s so charming that there’s no way you can take his social mask off.  Even if you try to… no one will believe you… he is the Politically Correct SPV!  Okay?

Having said that, you’ll know why it is so hard to see him coming and, therefore, so easy to believe anything that comes out his charming mouth when he turns up with an idea for a business venture… I mean… you dive right into it!

That’s how he came up to my hubby and I… the idea sounded so freaking great!  He showed up with numbers, charts, and everything you needed to know to say yes to a good deal… except for the money, of course.  That’s where my hubby and I came in… we furnished the money.

But since he’s an SPV and all… well, what Politically Correct SPV wants… is the idea of a bright future, not the future per se.  Every time his futures seems to catch up, he draws back… so as to be able to remain a ‘victim’ forever… success implies moving and, that, is so freaking impossible for an SPV to achieve, as they don’t move or care about anything or anyone.

So he asked… and we gave… because the deal was really, really good… only, Politically Correct SPV, likes spending and enjoys the good life, wrecking his own future… and dragging everyone else down with him.

But, nothing lasts forever, right?  There came the day when we decided to tell him to go to hell… and began telling everyone why… Hah!  So naïve of us… don’t you see he’s SPV?  He’s the victim here!!!

We were the ones thought of as evil doers.  We were the ones who ruined Politically Correct SPV’s future…

¿Can’t you see he wasn’t playing golf, and having breakfasts, lunches, and dinners for pleasure?  He was doing business! ¿Can’t you see that we were dealing with the King of perception?  And we, ill thinkers, thought he was only having fun and spending money like there was no tomorrow!

Yes.  We are a couple of greedy little bastards who impaired his brightly lit future…  Whatever!   Remember Edgar Allan Poe’s Raven?  My name is now… Nevermore!

Today, Politically Correct SPV has a brand new future ahead.  I hope, with all of my heart, he grabs it… he’s got all he needs to succeed… but he’s an SPV and, that, my friend, says it all.
