Has it ever happened to you that you, suddenly, find yourself alone at an expedition that started with a whole bunch of other people and, to top it all… it wasn’t even your idea?

After many years of having pronouncing myself against this disoriented and unstable SPV, who insisted in psychologically damaging one of the members in her ‘captive audience’… and years of felling completely invisible and ignored by absolutely-everyone-in-the-process… there came the day… and it all changed…

It all started like some sort of underground movement.  Three people united… I’ll call them the Three Musketeers… Athos, Porthos and Aramis, which, I guess, leaves me no option but to call myself d’Artagnan.

Goal: Rescue someone, whom I’ll call Nancy, from the habitat of her unstable SPV.

The day I found out about the Three Musketeers association I was away on a trip.  I got a phone call from Nancy asking, in tears, if she could come live with me.  I asked no questions.  I said yes…

I assumed Nancy had, finally, raised her voice against her unstable SPV.  When I got back in town I spoke to Nancy and I found out that a ‘bomb’ had exploded in her habitat, and she couldn’t take any more verbal abuse as well as the psychological ‘arrest’ she was going through.

Athos, who was one of the members of the unstable SPV’s ‘herd’ of followers, had convinced Nancy to own her life again, for a change.  To this Cause for Freedom, Athos added two more people… thus, the Three Musketeers…

Athos, Porthos and Aramis came up with the when, where and the how they’d free Nancy from her unstable SPV’s habitat.  Aramis invited me to join the task force and I said: Of course!

A couple of days later we were on our way into the unstable SPV’s habitat.  The Three Musketeers were bragging about how they’d help Nancy, and about how they were gonna help her financially and psychologically… yeah, well… I should have known then… if something sounds too good to be true… it usually is.  The ‘one for all and all for one’ speech wasn’t really there… as time went by.

Optimistic, heroic and determined at first, the Three Musketeers and me secured Nancy.  She went over to my place while we set off into the dusk… our journey had begun…

Me, as the good ol’ d’Artagnan, made every arrangement necessary for Nancy to be comfortable upon arrival into my territory.  She took off, from her habitat, during the task force journey into the dusk… so I wasn’t there when she settled in.

Athos, thought Nancy would go live with her and, by the time she realized Nancy had decided otherwise, well… let’s just say her enthusiasm subsided a tiny little bit.

My help had no deadline.  It was not meant for a couple of weeks or a month… so… when Athos and Porthos heard this, they began convincing Nancy to give it a couple of weeks, to think it over, and then go back to her habitat… they’d convinced themselves that Nancy’s only goal was to temporarily ‘punish’ her unstable SPV… Hah!  Yeah, right!  Some cause and task force!

As soon as two of the Three Musketters realized that ‘Independence Day’ wasn’t gonna last one day, then they, Athos and Porthos, tried to persuade Nancy to go live with Athos… that way they’d have her 24/7 to work on the retreat.

Nancy embraced her new life.  It had been the first decision she’d made in her entire life… and she held on to it.

Maybe Porthos knew what was coming.  The war against me had just begun.  Unstable SPV decided I was to blame for Nancy’s leaving.  She decided to blame me for everything… let’s remember that an SPV never takes responsibility for her actions so, looks around and blames whoever is appropriate… in this case… Moi.

Unstable SPV began the recovery of her, partially, lost ‘herd’ of followers and, when someone has been part of a ‘herd’… that someone will remain part of a ‘herd’ if the SPV’s manipulative actions are the right ones.   And they were.  Unstable SPV got Ahtos and Porthos back into her ‘herd’ and began the brain washing procedure in Nancy’s psyche.

Once more witchcraft (Santeria) becomes a fundamental part of a story (like Wicked Witch and Dementors in real life)… trying to destroy me… I’m telling you, it’s a fad!  Even Porthos got her spoon into the cauldron, lit a couple of candles and any other stuff you can think of… I mean anything to get Nancy back for unstable SPV.

Athos and Porthos eagerness to help died down.  Both, their financial and psychological help concluded and, of course, a shower of manipulations and condemnation started pouring down Nancy’s psyche.  Who was still recovering, still going to the shrink, and under our care, Aramis and mine, to repossess her shattered spirit and self-confidence.

Unstable SPV hadn’t yet convinced Aramis that the true victim was her… a victim of my plot against her.  Yes, in her twisted little psyche, she decided that I was to blame for Nancy’s leaving… and Athos and Porthos never said otherwise… self-preservation I guess.

The tug-o-war was so annoying that Nancy came to believe she’d overreacted and had been persuaded by the Three Musketeers to leave her habitat… and, once more, I prove myself right when I tell you that Christmas is the time for APVs wishes to come true… it is the season that, always, fulfills the manipulative desires of an SPV’s psyche.    And it was Christmas time when Nancy swallowed each and every word that came out of her Unstable SPV… and decided to lean toward her ex-habitat to give her Unstable SPV a second chance.

My psyche couldn’t take it anymore.  It came to be a too crazy a war, too many Santeros, too many people against me for having helped Nancy.   I mean, there came to be the Three Musketeers, a tribe, a ‘herd’ of followers, and a ‘captive audience’ against little ol’ me.   Way too much for my psyche!

So Nancy went back to her Unstable SPV… back to a reinvented SPV-refined habitat… that is, worse than before!  Decisions - Consequences.
