It all started with my comment to a guy who wrote that he was worried that the contents in some video happened in BC, Canada, and not in America...  so I jokingly said:  Well, BC is in America!

Oops! That triggered the rage of several youtube users against me. Mea culpa! for wanting to have some fun in youtube!   But one of them ousted his wisdom by saying - and Ive got to put this on the screen here so you can see:

• LOL a continent what umm sorry to say but America is a country. North America is a continent. I dont live in america i live in canada in North America. Americans are way to over there heads about about them selves. All they give a shit about is there selves.  (that's not my grammar nor my spelling... it's all his... word by word and mistake after mistake)

Gosh! Who teaches these people? if I were his English teacher...

Doesn't that seem written by an 8 year old? But that's only part of it, 'cuz I left out the insults, the name calling, and the violence of this guy.  And then another bright youtuber shouted that just because Canada is part of North America, he was not an american!

He's not?? Ok so maybe he was born in Africa - the continent - and so YES - he's not an American! Think that's what he meant?

So North America is... where?

If there's North America and there's South America... is there really an AMERICA???  The fact that citizens of the United States OF America love to call their land AMERICA, does not mean that America is a country. It's a nickname they use to call their land!  If you are born in Argentina - you are an American, if you are born in Mexico - you are an American! Theres no way to erase that!

And depending on where in the world you went to school there's three ways to look at this part of the world.  Some countries teach you that there's one and only one America - one continent on this side of the world - then others teach you that America is divided into two: North and South, and then others teach you that it is divided into three: North, Central, and South. AMERICA!!!

In this part of the world we have Canada, the United States, and Mexico and they all belong to a part of America called North America.  Got it?

Nothing you say will ever change the fact that America is not a country!   Know what?.... I'll just finish with a map here... and to those out there who want to leave a nasty, violent, screaming-with-rage-comment about my wisdom... or the lack of theirs... be my guest!
