Okay, people, tell me if you feel like a stranger in town too.

If my sarcastic and cynical rhetoric were political, or if I were to speak volumes against our President Felipe Calderón, or cursing anyone who has more money, or nagging about whatever smelled like capitalism... I'm more than sure I'd be getting praised instead... and I'd even be getting 'Best Wishes' cards and e-mails!

Am I really the only one who believes that having a difference of opinion doesn't turn me into anyone's

punching bag and that a debate can be healthy and even inspiring?

Please tell me! I really want to know if I'm the only martian on this planet when I declare that I am more than able of saying: Let's agree to disagree!

Where did this rhetoric come from?

Well, due to those who assume I should keep my opinions to myself and - since I’m not the average-looking-mexican - they feel compelled to verbally spit me...

Not only have I been insulted and threatened, but I’ve been physically abused by those who cannot tolerate anyone’s right to freedom of speech… by those who believe their opinion is the only one that matters and the only one that should be heard.

So, are you a martian too?

In the meantime I suggest you take a look at ‘The Universal Declaration of Human Rights’, and then come back and tell me if I should be prosecuted for my opinions, race, lifestyle… or whatever.
